conferences and of seminars, especially on
the origins of Europe (e.g.: Il Papato e
l’Europa, edited by G. De Rosa and G.
Cracco, 2001; Europa in costruzione: la
forza delle identità, la ricerca di unità,
edited by G. Cracco, J. le Goff, H. Keller,
G. Ortalli, 2006) and on the relations
between Germany and Italy (e.g., L’umanità offesa. Stermini e memoria

- Creator and director
of numerous research projects; at present
engaged on a three-year Project of research
(financed by ENI, Italy) into the cults and
pilgrimages in Kazakhstan in the last two
centuries.
- In 2008 he received the charge from
the President of the European Parliament,
with other eight experts of history of other
states of Community, to plan the "House of
the European history" that will shortly be
realized to Bruxelles.
